Ribcaged was founded in the Ribble Valley in Lancashire in 2005 to support Lancashire writers and performers. From there we have grown from strength to strength and now have our own studios in Clitheroe and working collaboratively with a number of Lancashire Theatres.
We have performed across the North West including The Grand, Clitheroe, The Octagon – Bolton, The Burnley Mechanics, The Lowther Pavillion Lytham, and The Blackburn Empire as well as numerous times at The Edinburgh Fringe. We recently worked in partnership with More to Life Productions on ‘Stop the Train’ a brand new musical which after sold out North West and Edinburgh Fringe Tours, showcased at the Prince of Wales Theatre in London’s West End. It is now heading for a West End run with Grade Linnet.
In 2014 we became national award winners, winning 'The Spirit of the Community Award' and since gone on to win other regional and local awards including Ribble Valley Business Awards, Tourism awards and were finalists at the prestigious 2017 BIBA awards at Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
Over time we have grown and diversified and theres is a variety of different elements to what we do;
Ribcaged; our touring theatre company, RIBFEST; our festival in Ribchester promoting emerging artists, Lancashire Theatre Workshop; which is our Schools and Outreach delivery promoting Lancashire artists, Lancashire Theatre Network; a forum to bring together talented performers and actors.
Ribcaged Productions continue to deliver high quality productions and performances.
